Shomal Plastic Chaboksar Co. (J.P.S.) started its activity in the field of producing industrial multilayer thermoplastic sheets of ABS, PMMA, HIPS, GPPS, PP and etc.

 In 1988 in an attempt to set up the production units of thermoplastic semi-finished products from the sheets produce by the company in order to improve the potential of production abilities as well as meeting the needs of the Iranian automobile manufacturers, and by considering the extensive development of automotive industry in Iran , the company invested heavily in thermoforming lines.

In 1994 the Engineering Department of the company studied the possibility of producing automotive headliners and started the planning phase.  Upon confirmation of the state automobile manufacturers the related machineries, moulds, and equipments were designed and produced by the company’s engineers without using any foreign sources.  The mass production started the following year.

In 1997 the company installed Polyurethane foam injection machineries in order to produce instrument panels, shock absorbing bumper foams, and sun visors.  Mass production was started in the same year and ever since the company has been supplying the mentioned parts for PAYKAN (national Iranian model) as well as KIA Pride.

In 2002 Shomal Plastic Chaboksar Co. installed production lines and started mass production of industrial raw and coated/thermoformed carpeting at its daughter company Pouya Rashteh.  Today Pouya Rashteh Co. is supplying floor carpeting and complete trunk carpeting kit for various KIA and PEUGEOT models in Iran using its fully automated machineries.

 In 2005 the company acquired technological know-how for production of the core raw material and subsequently semi-finished and finished products of new generation Natural Fiber Composites.  This achievement greatly enhanced and increased company’s production possibilities as well as final products’ characteristics and quality.  Today many interior automotive parts such as package tray and door panels are being produced using this material for the first time in Iran .

The newest addition to Shomal Plastic Chaboksar company products is casting Polyamide rods, sheets, and finished parts that have vast usage in various industries which entered local markets in 2007.  The company is honored to be the first in Middle East region to produce such products by casting method which greatly enhances the chemical and physical characteristics of the finished Polyamide products.

 Shomal Plastic Chaboksar Co. is proud to be the first and a major producer of mainly automotive interior parts in Iran for various models of PEUGEOT, KIA, MAZDA, RENAULT, DAEWOO, NISSAN, and few other national automobiles.

 With 20,000 square meters of production facilities and over 600 personnel, Shomal Plastic Chaboksar Co. is a major supplier for more than hundred factories and production workshops in automotive, home appliances, advertising, and many other industries.  In automotive sector alone, the company’s products are being used in over 95% of over 1,000,000 automobiles being produced in Iran .
